Rep. Barr testifies in front of the House Small Business Committee on Thursday, April 23. Congressman Barr's testimony called for the SBA and Treasury should hold up their end of the bargain with community banks and other lenders making loans to small businesses through the Paycheck Protection Program. He also called for clarity on eligibility issues to ensure that industries such as horse tracks are protected. Lastly, Rep. Barr asked the Committee to provide confirmation that new owners of established businesses are eligible for PPP, so long as their business was in operation prior to February 15, 2020.
