Service Academy Nominations

As your Sixth District Representative in the U.S. House of Representatives, each year I have the privilege of nominating a limited number of applicants to four of the five service academies. The honor of attending a service academy comes with an obligation and commitment to serve in the military for a minimum of five years upon graduation. Best wishes to you as you pursue your goal of attending one of the U.S. Service Academies and serving our country.

Academy Day is a chance for students in the Sixth Congressional District who are interested in a Service Academy to meet with representatives from each institution and discuss the involvement and commitment required for each Academy. Students can also get answers to questions they may have about the application process. 

• Academy Day 2024 will take place on Saturday, September 7th at the Aviation Museum of Kentucky (4029 Airport Rd., Lexington, KY 40510). Registration will open at 8:30AM. The one-hour program will begin at 9AM. An information fair will follow. Representatives from the following have been invited: U.S. Military Academy, U.S. Naval Academy, U.S. Air Force Academy, U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, U.S. Coast Guard, and University ROTC Programs.
