Estill County

  • Project Name: Estill County Water District Phase 12 Water System Improvements

    • Project Summary: This project represents a continuation of Estill County Water District No. 1’s efforts to reduce unaccounted for water in the system. The project involves the replacement of the water line at the Kentucky River Park and the rehabilitation of multiple water tanks. The project will also include replacement of multiple pump stations to ensure adequate system pressure. Estill County Water District No. 1 purchases all of its water, thus it is imperative to account for all water in its system to better leverage its financial position.

    • Project Summary: Currently, there is only one access point for both the Dixie Park and Roselawn communities. Combined, those communities are home to approximately 1,000 residents and 7 business locations. The purpose of this request is to assist in funding a new access road, multi-use trail, and parking lot for community safety, preparedness, mobility, and economic improvements. Roughly 3,500 jobs in the area are affected in some way due to the lack of orderly and safe traffic flow through the area.
