WASHINGTON – On May 21, 2014, Congressman Andy Barr released the following statement regarding Kentucky’s bid to host the 2018 World Equestrian Games:
"The success of the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games is undeniable. The visitors to the event generated an infusion of over $201.5 million to the Kentucky's economy, including more than $45 million in wages that supported over 3,000 jobs. I have already endorsed Kentucky’s bid and will continue to support the Commonwealth’s efforts to ensure that the 2018 Games are even more successful. I am excited about the potential to once again showcase why Lexington is the 'Horse Capital of the World.'"
