LEXINGTON – On Thursday, March 20, Congressman Andy Barr will be joined by local physicians, healthcare providers, and hospital administrators at the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy for a roundtable to discuss the impact his legislation, the bipartisan Saving Lives, Saving Costs Act, would have on their ability to provide better, more affordable care to their patients.
“Americans deserve healthcare reform that will help lower the cost of care and protect the sacred patient-doctor relationship,” said Congressman Barr. “I am glad to have this opportunity to discuss the bipartisan Saving Lives, Saving Costs Act that my colleague from across the aisle, Congressman Ami Bera, MD and I introduced. Our legislation would lead to better, more affordable and evidence-based patient care by removing the need for physicians to worry about practicing defensive medicine, instead allowing them to focus on their patients’ actual needs.”
