Washington, D.C. – U.S. Congressman Andy Barr (KY-06) received the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccination today on Capitol Hill. Congressman Barr was one of many Congressional Members to be immunized at the Capitol on Friday.
“The Trump Administration’s Operation Warp Speed was an extraordinary success and I want to thank researchers and scientists for their tireless efforts to deliver a potentially lifesaving vaccine to the American people,” said Congressman Barr. “Furthermore, I am fully confident in the safety and effectiveness of COVID-19 vaccines approved by the FDA after thorough and rigid clinical trials that included thousands of American volunteers participating of many different ages and demographics with diverse health histories.”
Congressman Barr voted for over $10 billion in funding for Operation Warp Speed in Congress at the beginning of the pandemic.
