Washington, D.C.— U.S. Congressman Andy Barr (KY-06) released the following statement after the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (OSHA) vaccine mandate proposed by the Biden Administration on private employers is unconstitutional:

“In a tremendous win for freedom, the Supreme Court struck down President Biden’s unconstitutional, authoritarian vaccine mandate on private employers.  This victory is especially great news as so many small businesses are being crushed by a historic labor shortage.

“I signed an Amicus Brief sent to the high court requesting that the court strike down Biden’s outrageous power grab, and I will continue to fight for freedom over Socialism.”

Congressman Barr also cosponsored a Congressional Review Act measure in the House that would have blocked the OSHA mandate and any similar vaccine mandate proposed by the Administration from taking effect.
