LEXINGTON — Congressman Andy Barr released the following statement commemorating the 72nd anniversary of the attack on the United States Naval Base at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941:
“Today, we remember and honor the thousands of Americans who died in the attack on Pearl Harbor. Though it has been 72 years since the attack, we have not forgotten the effect it had on our country nor the service of the ‘Greatest Generation’ who answered the call of duty and fought to preserve the freedoms we have today.
“As we remember those who gave their lives on this day 72 years ago, Carol and I send our thoughts and prayers to all members of our Armed Forces and their loved ones.”
