Washington, D.C.— U.S. Congressman Andy Barr (R-KY) is one of the top seven members in the House pushing for stronger border security legislation. NumbersUSA gave Barr their top, A+ grade, which only seven House members received.
“I’ve been with President Trump every step of the way to secure our border,” said Congressman Barr. “From funding the wall, to leading the defense of his authority to build the wall in court, to voting for the largest surge in resources to DHS in history. I’ll keep working with President Trump, Secretary Noem, and Tom Homan to make our border more secure than ever.”
“Andy Barr has a 100% A + rating on NumbersUSA’s grade card,” said Mike Hough, co-President of NumbersUSA. “This grade shows that Rep. Barr is a leader in Congress for border security and enforcing our nation’s laws. He is championing our priorities: limiting birthright citizenship, ending chain migration and the visa lottery, and stopping asylum abuse. We are fortunate to have great leaders like Andy working to enact tougher immigration laws in Congress.”
Just during this session of Congress, Congressman Barr voted for the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, which allocated $170B to secure the border. He also has introduced a Constitutional Amendment to prohibit the children of illegal immigrants from obtaining birthright citizenship. Just last week, he and Senator Tom Cotton introduced a bill to crack down on liberal states giving illegal immigrants commercial driver’s licenses that have led to the deaths of some Americans in recent weeks.
