Washington, D.C.—Following the Supreme Court’s decision today in Trump v CASA, Trump v New Jersey, and Trump v Washington, U.S. Congressman Andy Barr (R-KY) announced his will introduce new legislation: Protecting American Citizenship Amendment. This proposal ends birthright citizenship for the children of illegal immigrants.
“Radical District Judges have been stopping the MAGA agenda with nationwide injunctions, preventing President Trump from cleaning up the damage done under four years of Joe Biden,” Congressman Barr said after the verdict. “I applaud SCOTUS for limiting injunctions, but we cannot wait on ending birthright citizenship for illegal immigrants. I’ll be introducing a Constitutional Amendment in Congress immediately to put an end to this debate and end birthright citizenship for illegal immigrants once and for all. We must fight on every front and do whatever it takes to help President Trump protect America.”
