Washington, D.C.— Today, the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA) passed the U.S. House of Representatives and is now heading to President Donald Trump’s desk to be signed into law. The bill passed the U.S. Senate earlier this week. U.S. Congressman Andy Barr (R-KY) released the following statement after his vote:

“Today, Kentucky families, workers, and small businesses got a historic tax cut — jet fuel for our economy and a boost for Kentuckians still recovering after four years of Bidenflation.

“This is the latest and greatest chapter of the Trump economic comeback — and the theme is promises made, promises kept.

“We promised to end federal tax on tips and overtime, expand the child tax credit for working families, Make Manufacturing American again, and make permanent the 2017 tax cuts to boom our economy. All of this was achieved in the Big Beautiful Bill.

“We promised to secure our border, and this bill surges resources to build more border wall, hire more border patrol, and seal our border once and for all.

“We promised to take care of our farmers, and we did so by expanding crop insurance and eliminating the death tax for an estimated 2 million family farms.

“We achieved all of these goals while protecting and strengthening Medicaid for Kentuckians who truly need it—not ineligible recipients or illegal immigrants.

“Because of President Trump’s leadership, America is back, and the Golden Age is here.”
