WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Andy Barr today released the following statement in remembrance of September 11, 2001:

"On September 11, 2001, cowardly acts of evil brought forward selfless acts of heroism by countless Americans.  Although we still grieve for the fallen, America also revealed herself to be resilient, and more unified and determined than ever before.

"Today, we pause to remember the victims of September 11; the extraordinary acts of bravery and heroism performed by courageous passengers and crew on United Flight 93; the first responders who rushed into burning buildings, and the thousands of volunteers who provided assistance to their countrymen.

"Carol and I continue to pray for the families of the victims, honor the heroes, and thank God we are so blessed to live in this amazing country.  God bless the United States of America."
