Cites “Human Cost” of President’s War on Coal

WASHINGTON, D.C. – As part of his continuing fight against the Obama Administration’s War on Coal, Congressman Andy Barr joined Congressman Steve Scalise (R-LA) and Congressman Joe Barton (R-TX) at a news conference in Washington yesterday afternoon to announce his support for a resolution that Congressman Scalise and Congressman Barton are introducing in the House, which declares that a carbon tax would damage the United States economy.  Barr cited Joy Global’s recent announcement that it will cease manufacturing at its Bourbon County plant as the latest evidence that the War on Coal continues to deeply hurt Kentucky families.
