Congressman Andy Barr (KY-06) today announced that Lextran will receive a $1 million grant through the Federal Transit Authority’s Low or No Emission Vehicle Program. The funds will be used to purchase battery-powered buses and on-route charging stations in coordination with the University of Kentucky’s ‘Blue Goes Green’ program which seeks a zero-emissions campus for transportation. Congressman Barr wrote a letter to the Federal Transit Administration in support of the grant application.

Res. 22, to block the Environmental Protection Agency and the Army Corps of Engineers from redefining “waters of the United States” to include smaller bodies of water including farm ponds and irrigation ditches.
